The Morisco hamlets of the duchy after 1609

The expulsion decree of 1609 emptied the Morisco hamlets of the duchy of Gandia, among them Castellonet, which was left depopulated. The charters of new settlement shared out houses and lands among Christian colonists and the comarca took more than a century to recover its inhabitants.
