Avocado in the coastal market gardens

The coastal strip of the Safor, almost free of frost, has in two decades replaced part of the orange grove with avocado of the hass and bacon varieties. Harvesting runs from November to May and has made the comarca the main producing area of the Comunitat Valenciana.
