The 5th of August, the main day of Riola's patronal festivities in honor of Santa María la Mayor, is celebrated after the previous evening's 'sopar de germanor' (fellowship dinner), with a cordà (firecracker string), paellas, canoeing on the Xúquer and a tapas route.
