Origin of the name Llocnou d'En Fenollet

The name of Llocnou d'En Fenollet comes from Raimon de Fenollet, medieval lord of the place in 1374. After the expulsion of the Moriscos, the present-day population was founded in the early 17th century by Miguel de Fenollet, and the 1611 resettlement with Old Christians left a hamlet of barely nineteen houses.
