Regional Museum of L'Horta Sud

The Josep Ferrís March Regional Museum of L'Horta Sud, in Torrent (Valencia), has as its purpose the conservation, research and dissemination of the region's cultural heritage. It occupies the Casa de l'Estudiant de Boqueta, a farmhouse built in 1904 and inhabited until the 1980s, whose layout allows visitors to learn about the life of a family tied to the land: the dwelling, the agricultural work area next to the pen and, on the upper floor, the produce store. Restored by the Mancomunitat de L'Horta Sud, it opened as a museum in 2000 and its exhibition hall opened three years later; its collection brings together household goods, farming tools and craft implements. It is dedicated to Josep Ferrís March, director of the Caixa d'Estalvis de Torrent.
