Turia River through Casas Bajas

Stretch of the river Turia by Casas Bajas (El Rincón de Ademuz, Valencia), popular for rafting and other river activities. The river crosses the municipality from north to south, first flowing through a fertile vega before narrowing into a deep gorge; near the village it is crossed by a modern reinforced-concrete bridge, which replaced an old 57-foot-long wooden plank bridge. The Turia and its tributaries form here one of the best-preserved river ecosystems in the whole Valencian Community.
