Church of la Santísima Trinidad Monument · Casas Altas, El Rincón de Ademuz, Valencia The church of the Holy Trinity, built in the 17th and 18th centuries, on Plaza Serafín Manzano in Casas Altas, began as a small hermitage around 1615, a date that appears on the bell-gable of the façade, and attained the status of parish and independent vicariate on 12 March 1772. In 1837 a taller section was added at the head, with another bell-gable, and half a century later the bell tower was built. During the Revolution of 1936 it was despoiled: eight altars and twelve images were destroyed, along with crosses, candlesticks and ornaments. Restored around 1990, with its bells restored in 2003, it belonged to the diocese of Segorbe until 1960, the year it passed under that of Valencia. Its façade, of rubble masonry reinforced with ashlar, retains the doorway of the old hermitage. Photo: Panotxa (CC BY-SA 4.0) What to see and do in Casas Altas
