A fortress of Islamic origin (Hins al-Uqab, 'castle of the eagle') mentioned in the 10th century, rebuilt around 1084 and linked to the figure of El Cid in his campaign against Morella. It preserves stretches of wall and towers on a promontory overlooking the valley.
