Castle of Torres Torres Monument · Torres Torres, El Camp de Morvedre, Valencia The castle of Torres Torres is a fortification of Muslim origin from the 12th century, situated on a hill next to the town, which was modified during the Carlist Wars to adapt it for the use of artillery, replacing the arrow slits in its walls with round holes. Polygonal in plan, it had four towers and, inside, a keep; today two of the towers survive, along with part of the keep, rectangular in plan and three storeys high, as well as remains of walls, cisterns and auxiliary buildings. Conquered by James I, it was granted to Beltrán de Bellpuig. siglo XII Photo: Falconaumanni (CC BY-SA 3.0) What to see and do in Torres Torres
