The hot springs of La Vilavella, known as the Fuente Calda, emerge at a temperature of 27 °C, and their medicinal properties were already known to the Romans. In the early 19th century the municipality came to have eleven spas exploiting these waters, and today it still maintains an active spa that continues to make use of the curative properties of the subsoil.
