Castle of Benalí Monument · Aín, La Plana Baixa, Castellón Fortress of Arab origin in the municipality of Aín, with a keep and a watchtower, the scene of the 16th-century Morisco resistance. It is a medieval hill-type fortification, of irregular and scattered plan, with several walled enclosures and an auxiliary barbican tower on the outside; inside are preserved remains of the rooms and cisterns typical of the garrison's daily life. The keep stands out, cylindrical in shape, which had a moat and a drawbridge to reinforce its defenses. Photo: Falconaumanni (CC BY 3.0) What to see and do in Aín
