Castle of Atzeneta del Maestrat

The remains of Atzeneta castle, located on the outskirts of the town next to stretches of wall and manor houses from the old medieval fortified precinct, belong to an 11th-century structure of which only the keep and a chapel survive today. The castle is also the central image on the town's traditional coat of arms, used since at least the 18th century.
