Palaeontological site located in the municipal district of Cinctorres, in the comarca of Els Ports, with dinosaur fossils from the Lower Cretaceous, about 115 million years old. It was discovered in 1998 by the geologist Ramón Ortí, who named it after one of his daughters. The excavation campaigns, carried out between 1999 and 2004, mainly unearthed remains of herbivorous iguanodontids - teeth, jaw fragments, a shoulder blade, vertebrae, tibia and fibula - as well as teeth and vertebrae of two species of carnivorous theropods, including Vallibonavenatrix. The 2002 and 2004 campaigns each recovered between 74 and 119 fossils. Photo: Mario modesto (Public domain) What to see and do in Cinctorres
