Almedíjar, in the Alto Palancia comarca, preserves two aqueducts built in Morisco times, before the expulsion of 1611, to allow irrigation water to cross the ravine and reach the orchards: the Huerta Nueva aqueduct and the Alfara aqueduct, the latter recently restored. They bear witness to the traditional hydraulic heritage built by the Morisco population to extend the municipality's irrigated land.
