Fortification located on the outskirts of the historic centre of Villamalur, a testament to the municipality's Arab past. It is a castle of Muslim construction, possibly built between the 10th and 13th centuries, with an irregular polygonal layout. It preserves large stretches of the wall that surrounded it, several standing towers, a cistern that was originally covered with a vault, and traces of water channels. A good part of the visible remains date from the Christian period, since the castle was thoroughly rebuilt after the conquest.
