The church of San Roque, in the centre of Fuentes de Ayódar (Alto Mijares region, Castellón), is a Baroque church built between the 17th and 18th centuries. It is listed as a Bien de Relevancia Local (a local-level heritage protection category), published in the Boletín Oficial del Estado of 10 March 2009. In August 1936, during the fighting of the Civil War in the area, its interior suffered severe damage: the altars and images were destroyed and it was left with no decoration at all. Restoration work began in 1938, and over the course of the 20th century the church gradually regained the appearance it retains today, in the centre of the town.
