The Hermitage of San Roque stands on the path known as the Bajada de San Roque, in the municipal district of Espadilla, in the Alto Mijares region. It has been proposed, since 18 December 2013, for listing as a Bien de Relevancia Local (a local-level heritage protection category), with the category of monument of local interest, within the municipal catalogues of protected assets and spaces provided for by Valencian cultural heritage legislation.
