Aguas de Busot Spa Curiosity · Aigües, L'Alacantí, Alicante The Aguas de Busot spa, with thermal waters known since Roman and Muslim times, was built in the 19th century on baths acquired by the Countess of Torrellano in 1816, which already enjoyed some prestige by the middle of that century. In 1936 it was turned into a Patronazgo Infantil Antituberculoso, and after the Civil War it was bought by the State and resumed operating as a spa. The name of the municipality, Aguas until 1916, comes precisely from the aquifers that gave rise to these thermal springs. The building is currently undergoing restoration.
