Founded in 1981 as a publicly owned company of the Government of Navarre —known until 1986 as Evensa—, the Estación de Viticultura y Enología de Navarra (Navarre Viticulture and Oenology Station) is based in Olite, on the foundations of an old winery. It is dedicated to quality control and wine-growing experimentation, and carries out the analyses and tastings for the Consejo Regulador (Regulatory Board) of the Denominación de Origen Navarra.
