El Misterio de Obanos

The town preserves the medieval legend of Guillén, prince of Aquitaine, who, after making a pilgrimage to Santiago, killed his sister Felicia and retired as a hermit to the chapel of Arnotegui. In even-numbered years, the residents of Obanos perform this story in the "Misterio de Obanos," a theatrical mystery play of great popular tradition.
