Roncal/Erronkari

Roncal/Erronkari, which gives its name to the whole valley, has 206 inhabitants (INE 2025) spread between the main settlement and the hamlets of Enaquesa and Molino de Garde. Since 2021 it has belonged to the association "Los Pueblos Más Bonitos de España" ("The Most Beautiful Villages in Spain"). Uskara, or Roncalese, the valley's own variant of Basque, became extinct during the 20th century with the death of its last speakers.
