Through Luzaide/Valcarlos runs the variant of the Camino Francés that crosses the Pyrenees from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port without passing through the Ibañeta pass, making it the first Navarrese locality for a good part of the pilgrims. The municipality maintains a pilgrims' hostel.
