The Museo de la Almadía (Log-Raft Museum) of Burgui recalls the trade of the almadieros, who tied together logs cut in the Selva de Irati and the mountains of the valley to form rafts -almadías- to float them down the Esca, Aragón, and Ebro rivers as far as Zaragoza and Tortosa. Every April, the Día de la Almadía (Log-Raft Day) revives that tradition with a public log-raft descent down the river.
