An area listed as a Bien de Interés Cultural (Spain's highest level of heritage protection) in 2012 protecting 343 hectares with Carpetani, Roman and Andalusi levels and continuous occupation from the 3rd century BC to the 5th century AD; the so-called Titulcia patera came from it in 2009.
