Church of San Pedro Apóstol de Fuente el Saz Monument · Fuente el Saz de Jarama, Cuenca del Medio Jarama, Madrid A temple from the second half of the 16th century attributed to Rodrigo Gil de Hontañón, belonging to the group of Castilian hall churches, whose construction dates back to the 16th century and was finished around the beginning of the 17th. It has three naves — north, central and south, with three, four and four bays respectively — and a square tower topped by a Herrerian spire. Although the declaration decree names it by mistake as “San Pedro Mártir”, it is dedicated to San Pedro Apóstol. It was declared a Bien de Interés Cultural (Spain's highest level of heritage protection) on 8 March 2012, published in the Boletín Oficial de la Comunidad de Madrid on the 16th of that month.
