The settlement that gives the municipality its name is uninhabited today and the seat of local government has passed to Serracines, formerly its hamlet; of old Fresno there remain the church of San Esteban, of Mudejar and Renaissance construction, and the hermitage of the Virgen del Espino beside the River Torote.
