Bosque Sur Nature · Fuenlabrada, Área Metropolitana, Madrid The Bosque Sur, officially the Bosquesur peri-urban forest park, is a green-belt park laid out along the Culebro stream that occupies part of the municipalities of Fuenlabrada, Leganés, Alcorcón, Getafe and Pinto; in its first phase alone, covering some 323 hectares, more than 21,000 trees and around 82,000 shrubs of native species were planted. The whole, which officially includes the Polvoranca park, covers 561 hectares, equivalent to five times the Retiro park in Madrid. It is part of the future Arco Verde, a 75-kilometre ring that will link the region's major parks, begun in December 2019 with the planting of 350 trees in Boadilla del Monte.
