The fort at the talaia de Llixem is a work in Pinell de Brai (Terra Alta) declared Bien Cultural de Interés Nacional (Catalonia's highest level of heritage protection). It is a musket tower on a hill beside the Ebro River, between the municipalities of Pinell de Brai and Miravet. Its typology, very similar to other musket towers in the area, suggests it may be a 19th-century construction, raised during the Carlist Wars; some stretches of wall with loopholes survive.
