Castle of Puigdelfí Monument · Perafort, Tarragonès, Tarragona Vanished castle, raised on a crag of Roman origin overlooking the Francolí river; Count Ramon Berenguer I granted it in 1066 to Ponç de Montoliu, whose family held it until 1330, when it passed to the Requesens family by marriage; they kept it until, in the late 15th century, it passed to the chapter of the cathedral of Tarragona. Today nothing remains of the castle except the urban layout itself -narrow, winding streets-, the names of streets and houses, and fragments reused in later buildings; much of its material was used to build the church.
