Marçà's Festa Major d'Estiu is held on 15 August and the d'Hivern on 27 December. Its parish is already mentioned in a bull of Pope Anastasius IV in 1154, and in 1611 the Servite friars founded the convent of Sant Marçal, burned and sacked by the Carlists in 1835.
