The parish church of Santa Llúcia stands in Bellmunt del Priorat, a town whose galena galleries, worked industrially since the 19th century, went down more than six hundred metres and employed hundreds of miners until their closure in 1972. Pascual Madoz, in his geographical dictionary from the mid-19th century, already described it as served by a single chaplain; mass is still held there every Saturday, at six in the evening in winter and half an hour later in summer.
