Ebro Delta (Montsià Slope) Nature · Sant Jaume d'Enveja, Montsià, Tarragona Southern half of the Ebro delta, on the Montsià side, within the municipality of Sant Jaume d'Enveja, with the Migjorn beach and the Alfacada lagoon, located next to the Migjorn river mouth (gola). The Ebro Delta Natural Park, covering 320 km², is one of the most important wetlands in Europe after the Camargue and Doñana: it is home to 325 of the 600 bird species found on the continent, of which 95 nest there. The rice fields, which cover about 21,000 hectares of the delta, shape the life cycle of much of this wildlife. The area has been a Ramsar wetland since 1993 and a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve since 2013. Photo: Viquipèdia / Wikimedia Commons (CC BY-SA) What to see and do in Sant Jaume d'Enveja
