The Festa Major (patron saint festival) of Godall, dedicated to Sant Salvador, is celebrated in August, in a village documented as Godai since the 12th century. The place name, of uncertain origin, also appears in old documents as Quodar, Godayr, Godayl, Goday or Gudal, and theories about its origin point both to a Germanic personal name and to an Arabic origin.
