Church of Sant Pere de Sabella Monument · Conesa, Conca de Barberà, Tarragona Church of Sant Pere de Savella, next to the small, now uninhabited hamlet of Savella, in the western part of the municipal area of Conesa, in the Tarragona comarca of Conca de Barberà. It is a Romanesque building from the end of the 12th or beginning of the 13th century, with a single nave covered by a barrel vault and a semicircular apse, to which a rectangular side chapel was added in the 14th century; in the presbytery a 17th-18th-century altarpiece is preserved with a Gothic sculpture of Saint Peter, carved in stone towards the end of the 14th century, of natural size, holding the keys in his right hand and the book in his left. Conesa, whose 14th-century walled precinct still preserves two of its gates, depended for centuries on the monastery of Santes Creus. Photo: PMRMaeyaert (CC BY-SA 3.0 es) What to see and do in Conesa
