Castle of Santa Oliva (Baix Penedès, Tarragona), around which the historic centre of the town developed, between the municipalities of Albinyana, el Vendrell, Bellvei, Banyeres del Penedès and la Bisbal del Penedès. It originated in a tower that Isnabert built in 1012, which later became the castle. The origins of the place go back to 986, when the Frankish king Lothair confirmed to an abbot of Sant Cugat the possession of the church of Santa Maria.
