Main festival of Llorenç del Penedès, in the Baix Penedès, celebrated on the eve of Sant Llorenç, 9 August. Since at least 16 August 1890, the date of the first documented reference, the Aficionats Castellers de Llorenç del Penedès have raised castells in the village on this single day of the year, a tradition that has been kept up almost without interruption ever since. The castellers wear no distinctive shirt and are identified by a distinctive scarf that they renew each season; in 2014 they received the social initiative award of the Nit de Castells. Lloréns, the Spanish name of the town, grew up around its old castle, documented since the 14th century.
