Delta rice fields in Camarles

The rice fields of the Ebro delta occupy a good part of the municipal territory of Camarles, in the area of contact with the deltaic platform. Every year more than 45 million kilos of rice are grown and harvested in this area, irrigated by the left canal of the Ebro. Alongside rice, Camarles's economy also relies on the cultivation of vegetables and fruit trees, especially citrus, which complete an agricultural landscape characteristic of the delta.
