Mas Miró is an estate located on the outskirts, to the southeast, of Mont-roig del Camp (Baix Camp), made up of a series of buildings from various periods ranging from the 18th to the 20th century, and it is listed as a bien cultural de interés nacional (Catalonia's designation for cultural heritage of national interest). Beyond its historical, architectural and landscape value, the mas has an added value: here much of the work and pictorial universe of Joan Miró took shape, as he decided in this place to devote himself exclusively to painting. From these lands and this physical space came the first works that launched him internationally, making him one of the most important painters of the 20th century.
