Mountain range of Llaberia Nature · l'Argentera, Baix Camp, Tarragona The Serra de Llaberia forms part of the Catalan Serralada Prelitoral, between the Muntanyes de Prades and those of Tivissa-Vandellòs, on the boundary between Baix Camp and Ribera d'Ebre, with a maximum elevation of 918 metres. It is characterised by its limestone cliffs, very regular and pale in tone, which surround the two great massifs of Llaberia and Colldejou, both above 900 metres. A large part of its area is protected by the PEIN (Plan of Areas of Natural Interest). Its vegetation combines Mediterranean holm-oak woods and scrubland with some Eurosiberian and high-mountain communities, and it is home to typically Mediterranean fauna linked to woodland and rocky habitats, with abundant birds of prey and endemic invertebrates, the latter threatened by uncontrolled collecting.
