The Castle of Vilabella Monument · Vilabella, Alt Camp, Tarragona El Castell de Vilabella, in the Tarragona comarca of Alt Camp, is a rectangular manor house dated to the 15th century, with later reforms that mainly affected its façade. It combines Gothic and Renaissance architectural elements, with flattened arches inside and a semicircular-arch portal with large regular voussoirs. It belonged to the Pontarro family between the 15th and 18th centuries and later passed to the Castellví family; in the early 19th century it received the name Cal Cristí. Some historians place the site of the village's old castle here, owing to the remains of fortified elements it preserves at the rear. It is protected as a Cultural Asset of National Interest and stands on carrer de Sant Pere. Photo: CésarOP (CC BY-SA 3.0) What to see and do in Vilabella
