Defence Towers of Mas Mont-ravà Monument · Alcover, Alt Camp, Tarragona The defensive towers of Mas Mont-ravà stand beside this isolated farmhouse of Alcover, in the comarca of Alt Camp (Tarragona), at the confluence of the Glorieta and Micanyo rivers. The main fortification is a rammed-earth tower of slightly rectangular plan, with an elongated annexed body on its north-western side, measuring almost 6 metres wide by 6.5 long inside; below it, next to the farmhouse, stands a later, smaller tower. The farmhouse has been known since the 12th century: in 1163 the count-king Alfonso the Chaste granted it to Pere Voltor, and in 1632 it took its current name when the heiress married a member of the Mont-ravà family.
