Tower of defensa de Sallent Monument · Pinell de Solsonès, Solsonès, Lleida 11th-12th-century circular stone tower, atop a hill above the church of Sant Jaume de Sallent, on the frontier line between Old Catalonia and Saracen lands. Today only the northern half survives, about 11 m high across three levels, with the door threshold on the first floor and an arrow slit on the second. The place belonged to the bishop of Urgell and in the 18th century passed to the community of canons of Solsona as the barony of Sallent.
