Castle of Pampa Monument · Castellar de la Ribera, Solsonès, Lleida The place of Pampa is already documented in 839 in the deed of consecration of la Seu d'Urgell, but the first direct reference to the castle is from 1227, when Count Ponç d'Urgell ceded it to Bernat de Peramola. Its remains are today mixed with those of the original church of Santa Margarida and those of the manor house, all abandoned since the parish was depopulated in the 1970s.
