Castle of Lloberola Monument · Biosca, Solsonès, Lleida A 10th-century castle documented since 1041, owned in 1172 by Pere Sanç de Llobera and passed in the 14th century to the Cardona family; today it is a ruin with stretches of wall and towers, declared a Bien Cultural de Interés Nacional (Catalonia's highest level of heritage protection). Around it and the church of Sant Miquel clusters the village of Lloberola, today with about 50 inhabitants, which formed part of the lordship of the marquises of Gironella and was an independent municipality until the mid-19th century. Its old cemetery preserves two 14th-century sarcophagi carved with geometric and heraldic decoration. Photo: Isidre blanc (talk) (CC BY-SA 3.0) What to see and do in Biosca
