Cereal plains of la Segarra Nature · Talavera, Segarra, Lleida Image of Talavera, not of the place itself. The cereal plains of the Segarra are the characteristic landscape of this district of Lleida, where, in the municipal area of Talavera, wide grain fields stretch out dotted with patches of pine, cork oak and oak woodland. The climate, of continental type, with cold winters and warm summers and annual rainfall of between 350 and 450 millimetres, has historically shaped this rain-fed farming, which gives the district its physiognomy of an open, undulating high plateau.
