Castle of Montoliu de Segarra Monument · Montoliu de Segarra, Segarra, Lleida Remains of a 13th-century castle in the upper part of the village, which preserves much of its late medieval structures reinforced with early-modern buttresses: a square plan with two large visible pointed arches and the base of a circular tower, though much altered by the construction of a water tank. The municipal district is mentioned in 1077 as Monte Olio; in 1227 it passed to the monastery of Santes Creus, which held the lordship until the 19th century.
