Castle of Granyena de Segarra

Castle documented since 1054, ceded around 1131 by Ramon Berenguer III to the Order of the Temple -the first donation of this kind made by a count of Barcelona-, which established a permanent community there in 1136; after the dissolution of the Templars it passed to the Hospitallers. Today it preserves fragmentary Gothic-style remains.
