The winter festivities of Barbens are celebrated in a municipality that preserves the old castle and the church of the Bullidor, remains of a Templar commandery: the commandery of Barbens was created in 1168 as an independent commandery, and Ramon de Barrufell, a former lord of the castle, was its first commander.
