Castle and Church of el Bullidor Monument · Barbens, Pla d'Urgell, Lleida Castle and church of the Bullidor, declared a cultural property of national interest, in the municipal term of Barbens, beside the riera de Sant Marc. The castle, documented between 1365 and 1370, already in the 14th century, and which belonged to the Bosc and Copons families — the latter remodelled it, according to an inscription, in 1538 — today preserves very little: part of the façade with the main door with a voussoired arch and a window with pinnacles, and an empty interior. Attached to it stands the church of the Nativity of the Virgin, with a single nave twelve by six metres, built with the same ashlars and stonemasons' marks as the castle. It is covered with a barrel vault and has a square baptistery with a polychrome-interior dome, above which rises a lantern tower. The belfry is from a later period, probably the 19th century.
