Rafting and water sports in Llavorsí Curiosity · Llavorsí, Pallars Sobirà, Lleida Image of Llavorsí, not of the place itself. The Catalan capital of white-water sports, thanks to the flow of the Noguera Pallaresa. In the early 1990s the town became the birthplace of rafting on a European scale, and today several adventure-sports companies bring thousands of visitors each year to travel down the river. At Llavorsí, at 811 metres above sea level, the Noguera Pallaresa meets the Noguera de Cardós and changes direction, entering a narrow, steep-sided stretch of valley that favours the practice of these sports.
